A change in plans…

We have a fun announcement to make…

That’s right, baby Summers will have a brother or sister!

We have decided to add two babies to our family instead of one.  This has been on our hearts since the very beginning of our adoption process, but because this was going to be our first child, we got a little nervous & decided to only go with one.  However, due to the time it takes to complete an adoption, we found that our hearts were leaning towards growing our family by two at once, instead of trying to start this whole process over again once baby summers #1 comes home.  We 100% know we want more than one child, so why not!?  We also made the decision to request one boy & one girl.  We are very excited!  It will kind of be like having twins, but realistically our babies could be up to a year apart.  They will be under 14 months at the time of referral (that’s when we find out who they are!), but then it takes up to 8 months to bring them home, so we are expecting our children to be between 10-22 months when we bring them into our home.

I truly can’t wait to meet these kids…I dream of the day I will finally have them in my arms at last. <3
